Our Earl Grey is a traditional large leaf blend of China Keemun and Indian Darjeeeling with oil of bergamot (an Italian citrus fruit). Created in honour of the 2nd Earl Grey in commemoration of a successful diplomatic mission to China there are conflicting stories as to the true origin of this now immensely popular blend. Our Earl Grey is a well balanced tea with the right proportion of bergamot oil giving a refreshing but not overpowering taste.
Our larger leaf English Breakfast blend contains Assam, Ceylon and a hint of Darjeeling teas to give a rich malty tea. Whilst having some lightness it is ideal as an accompaniment to fatty foods such as the traditional English breakfast. A great way to start the day and keep you sustained during the morning.
Our Afternoon blend - Chinese and Indian teas blended to give a light, fragrant liquor with a little smokiness. Once you have tried it you will not drink an average tea during the afternoon ever again! Can be drunk with or without milk.
A lighter and more floral version of Earl Grey with the distinctive oil of bergamot. It makes an attractive alternative to other blends for afternoon drinking. Best without milk.
This historic tea is made from a traditional blend of large leaf Chinese black and oolong teas. It has a distinctive and attractive compexity. This tea was originally traded in the 15th and 16th centuries, carried by camel caravan via the Russian steppes, along the Silk Road to Moscow.
Decaffeinated - ours is a blend of Broken Orange Pekoes from Ceylon, processed in Switzerland to reduce the caffeine level to below 1%. If you have trouble sleeping after drinking tea, this problem can now be avoided with no detriment to taste.
