A most attractive smooth yet full bodied tea from Fujian Province, Golden Monkey is made from April to early September. It has beautifully twisted golden tipped leaves giving a deep bronze colour in the cup with a highly satisfying taste that has no bitterness. The chocolatey aroma has a hint of sweetness. Brew for five minutes and drink without milk.

A really rich tea that is not bitter. This is a great strong and rich tea without the bitter aftertaste. I can brew it for at least five minutes and it still has very little of that tannin taste.It does smell a little of chocolate but it has a nice almost green or subtly mossy taste whilst having the fuller body of a black tea.
